Best Evomon Starters
Bubble, Blazpup, and Leafbun each offer a different opening route. Choose the one that matches your pace.
Quick Verdict
For the lowest-friction start, choose Bubble. For aggressive damage and the highest ceiling, choose Blazpup. For a patient sustain route, choose Leafbun. All three are viable—what matters is matching your starter to your first-biome plan.
B
Bubble
WaterDifficulty: Easiest
Playstyle: Comfort / PvE carry
Evolution line: Bubble → Bubboxer
Strengths
- Water deals super-effective damage against the Verdant Valley rock boss
- Water resists Rock, so you take less damage while leveling
- Easiest path through the first island and into Lava Crag
- Evolves into Bubboxer, a smooth early-game carry
Weaknesses
- Lower base-form damage ceiling than Blazpup
- Needs support for Grass-heavy later content
Pick Bubble if you want the lowest-friction start and the safest first carry. The community widely recommends Water for new players.
B
Blazpup
FireDifficulty: Harder
Playstyle: Aggressive damage
Evolution line: Blazpup → Blazgrowl
Strengths
- Highest raw starter potential and long-term battle ceiling
- Excellent anti-Grass pressure later in the game
- Strong S-tier progression potential once evolved
- All starters receive high-tier skills, giving Fire a strong mid-game spike
Weaknesses
- Verdant Valley is less forgiving for Fire than Water
- Requires patching Water weakness early with support catches
Pick Blazpup if you want a sharper damage route and don't mind a slightly rougher opener. Best for players who want the highest starter ceiling.
L
Leafbun
GrassDifficulty: Medium
Playstyle: Sustain / control
Evolution line: Leafbun → Leafroge → Leafblade
Strengths
- Three-stage evolution line with long-term value
- Strong sustain and Water coverage later in the game
- Useful in Petal Pond and Water-heavy dungeons
- Balanced stats make it forgiving for learning the basics
Weaknesses
- Slower opening hour than Bubble
- First biome rewards Water pressure more than Grass
Pick Leafbun if you prefer a patient, control-focused start and a three-stage evolution line that pays off later.
